Pit&Pit baking powder we make with baking soda, pure tartar and organic starch. Pure cream of tartar is produced naturally during wine production. It is a pure and organic product. It also contains no alcohol at all despite its method of manufacture.
The baking powder gives the dough a loose structure and is suitable for making sponge cake, short cakes, rolls, cookies, waffle dough and much more. However, it is not so suitable for bread.
Baking powder allows your pastries to rise. Unlike baking soda, with baking powder you don't have to deal with an acidic ingredient in your pastry. Handy!
Add the amount of baking powder as indicated in your recipes.
You can substitute yeast for baking powder in recipes without changing the taste of your pastries.
By the way, do you want to make self-rising? Then add 15 grams of baking powder to 500 grams of flour.
In pastry recipes that specify baking soda: replace it with baking powder by 2.5 times the specified amount.
