Baharat, i.e. "spices" in Arabic, is one of the oldest and most well-known spice mixtures in the Arabic cuisine. You can find Baharat everywhere in the Middle East: from North Africa to the Persian Gulf. Baharat tastes hearty with complex notes. The mix spreads a warm and sweet aroma.
Season chicken, beef, minced meat, vegetables, soups, stews and rice. Add Baharat only at the end of the preparation. Also ideal in combination with olive oil and lemon juice as marinade.
