Our puffed buckwheat is completely organic and free of additives. In a large kettle with a small amount of water, the grain is put under great pressure until the buckwheat seeds start to puff. This makes each grain up to four times bigger!
The buckwheat grains for puffing are completely natural and, except for the puffing, remain completely unprocessed. Buckwheat is not a real grain, which is why it naturally contains no gluten. It has an earthy, nutty flavor.
Buckwheat contains lysine and magnesium, among other nutrients. For vegetarians, buckwheat is a valuable supplement because it contains so much protein.
You eat them on their own with dairy, cereal or nut milk, or add them to your favorite breakfast cereal. Puffed buckwheat is also delicious in homemade granolas and mueslis. For a quick and convenient snack, sprinkle puffs over yogurt and fresh berries. Or combine them with dried fruits, nuts and seeds in a delicious snack mix!
