Curcumin is the active component in turmeric. It is derived from dried turmeric roots and sprouts through extraction. Our curcumin powder has been purified to 95%. It does not contain additives or other herbs and spices.

Curcumin is a pure substance and strong antioxidant. It gives turmeric its anti-inflammatory and purifying properties. Curcumin is the beneficial soul of turmeric. These benefits also make curcumine powder a perfect substance for use in homemade capsules. Add a pinch of Black pepper ground to improve the absorption of curcumin by the body.

As a natural pigment

Curcumin is often used as a natural pigment in food (eg. sweets, cheese, margarine, liquor), soaps, textiles or paint. It is often denoted as E100 in the list of ingredients. Curcumin also gives Curry Madras its yellow colour.
