Our smoked paprika, also known as Pimentón de la Vera, is a typical Spanish product. Pimentón de la Vera is a colorful Spanish bell pepper with great flavor and a deep red color. Smoked paprika adds a wonderful smoky flavor and beautiful color to all your dishes. Our organic paprika we use only hand-picked, ripe, red peppers that are smoked over oak for two hours. The peppers are then dried, a process that takes several days.

After smoking, we remove the seeds and stalk, after which the peppers are ground into powder. The end result has a deep red color and adds an intense, smoky aroma to your dishes.

Smoked peppers in the kitchen

Smoked paprika is versatile in barbecue and grill dishes, with chicken and fish, in marinades, soups, lasagna, stews, dressings and sauces. It is indispensable in Spanish cuisine, in chorizo, on tapas or paella. Moreover, this powder does well in any dish to which you want to add a smoky touch.

Smoked paprika works well in combination with allspice, cumin, cardamom, garlic, ginger, oregano, parsley, pepper, rosemary, saffron and turmeric. Do not let smoked paprika burn, as the powder tends to turn brown and bitter.

Because we use only pure dried peppers for this powder, it tends to form lumps. Shake the jar well or break the lumps loose with a fork before using.
