The typical New Zealand manuka tree is world famous for the exceptional properties of the manuka honey.

This essential oil is from the leafy branches of the tree. Branches and the underside of the leaves are covered with silky white hairs that release a refined fine oil during distillation.

Manuka essential oil has a fresh, sweet and spicy scent.

Obtained by: traditional water vapour distillation. Used parts: young branches and leaves.
