China gunpowder tea is a powerful green tea with typical rolled-up tea leaves. These tea leaves slightly resemble real gunpowder, hence the name. The little balls unfold when steeped in hot water. Our Chinese gunpowder tea is 100% pure and natural, free of additives.
Sharp taste of gunpowder tea
These "green pearls" from the Chinese province of Zheijang have a strong, spicy taste. It is often used as a base for traditional Moroccan mint tea.
More caffeine than other green teas
Green gunpowder tea contains more caffeine than other types of green tea. Therefore it is very popular with athletes to improve their perseverance.
Use
1 tbsp for 1,75dl water (at 75°C). Briefly steep and taste. If the tea is not strong enough, let it steep another 30 seconds. You can reuse a portion of green tea up to 3-4 times.
