Our tiger nut flour or chufa flour consists of finely-ground and sieved tiger nuts from organic farming. This flour preserves the sweet, nutty taste of whole tiger nuts. It is raw and naturally gluten-free. We do not add flavourers or other additives.
Tiger nut flour is perfect to make delicious pastry or pancakes. Thanks to its sweet taste, you need less extra sugar in your batter. Tiger nut flour also gives a pleasant nutty taste to savoury dishes. It is somewhat dryer than other types of flour. Therefore you can add eg. applesauce or pumpkin puree for a bit of extra moist.
Substitute wheat flour in recipes entirely or partially for tiger nut flour. Use in batter for cake, muffins, biscuits, brownies and even bread. Or mix 1 part of chufa flour and 3 parts of water in your blender for a super quick horchata!
