Calendula: herb for the skin
Calendula has long been known as a healthy herb for the skin. It is therefore mainly used externally in oils, compresses or even in baths.
Use
Calendula tea
1 teaspoon per cup with boiling water.
Calendula compress
2 tablespoons of dried calendula per cup of boiling water. Cover and leave to infuse for 15 minutes. You can then put a compress in this liquid and apply it to the eyes or skin several times a day.
Calendula in the bath
Sprinkle a handful of marigold flowers into the bath water.
Oil making calendula
Soak 1 cup of marigold in 2 cups of vegetable oil, e.g. almond oil, for 3 weeks. Then strain and apply externally to your skin.
