In Guatemala we enthusiastically join the Asoproguate cooperative. More than 150 subsidiary farmers receive a fair price and now also have access to consumers in the low countries and Europe.

These farmers grow coffee at very high altitudes, from 1800 to 2100 metres, in the Jilotepeque and Acatenango regions. At this altitude, the beans are of exceptional quality and are organically grown.

A complex and unique range of flavours

This coffee has a lot of body, a perfect acidity and flavour notes that range from caramel, black and milk chocolate, to hazelnut and green apple. A very appreciated coffee.

When processing many coffees, a lot of acrylamides are formed due to excessive roasting. This is a substance which can be formed when starchy products are burned. Acrylamides are extremely unhealthy and harmful. Even the lover of strong coffee doesn't want this. We therefore categorically exclude the very strongest roasts with a high risk of acrylamides.

By allowing the fresh and very high-quality coffee beans to be roasted at a lower temperature and for somewhat longer, the delicious flavours and aromas come into their own. The slower, moderate roasting method ensures a healthy, high-quality coffee and allows our coffee roaster to perform tight acrylamide monitoring at each roast.

Aluminum-free eco-friendly packaging

We package these organic coffee coupons in brand new packaging, an ecological biggie. This high-quality packaging contains no aluminum at all and is constructed entirely of eco-plastics from renewable sources, right down to the valve.
