Chimichurri is a spicy and aromatic sauce from Argentina, often used as a marinade or side dish with grilled meats. The base usually consists of fresh parsley, garlic, vinegar, olive oil and spices.
Pit&Pit has created its own blend of spices that will take your homemade chimichurri to the next level. Our chimichurri consists exclusively of organic ingredients, and is completely salt-free. No salt, no additives, preservatives or flavor enhancers. What you do get is optimal and natural flavor.
How to make and eat chimichurri

1 cup fresh parsley, very finely chopped OR vary with thyme, oregano or other fresh, green herbs

3 cloves of garlic, pressed or finely chopped

1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

2 teaspoons olive oil

3 teaspoons spice mix
First, in a mortar or sturdy bowl, mix the parsley, vinegar and garlic into a paste, gradually add the olive oil. Keep stirring and mix in the dried herb mix. Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator before using.
Not only meat eaters enjoy the taste of chimichurri. Whether you marinate a piece of meat or cauliflower steak in it, the sauce is versatile and lends itself to creative experiments in the kitchen. Delicious with a piece of toasted bread, with rice dishes or as a dip for roasted vegetables.
The spice mix by itself is also ideal for flavoring your minced meat. Or mix the mix under white tahini for an exotic touch.
