Yerba maté is a popular drink in Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina and South Brasil. It is made from the dried leaves of a native plant from South America. In contrast to yerba maté original, green yerba maté leaves have not been roasted. They have a milder taste and contain less cafeïne.
1 tsp yerba maté per cup of water at 85°C. Steep for maximum 2 minutes.
Prepare the same way as yerba maté, but replace hot water for ice cold water.
