Our organic wakame seaweed grows along the coastline of Galicia, in northwestern Spain. The seaweed is harvested by hand here by a small family farm. After harvesting, the seaweed is naturally air-dried and cut into handy, ready-to-use flakes.
This seaweed has a salty, meat and slightly crunchy texture and a greenish-brown color.
Add the wakame flakes to soups and sauces a few minutes before the end of the cooking time. In case of not using them in liquid preparations, pre-soak them in cold water for 10 minutes first and drain. Use wakame in fish dishes, omelets, vegetable dishes, stir-fries and salads.
