What is Neem Salve?

In India, the Azadirachta indica (Neem tree) has had a central function in traditional Ayurveda for centuries. From this tree, people use the leaves, the pith and the bark to prepare products used in oral, hair and skin care and for various skin problems. This tree is also widespread in West Africa.

Our Neem ointment contains medicinal pure Neem Oil and skin restoring Shea Butter sourced from Ghana. Neem is known there as an effective natural remedy for eczema, psoriasis, dry (head) skin conditions, scalp flakes, mosquito and insect bites, but also irritated skin. Neem ointment nourishes, restores and moisturizes the skin optimally for skin disorders and has an itching effect. The basic ingredients in this ointment are rich in natural nutritional values and vitamins A+E.

The scent of neem

Neem oil has a somewhat strong earthy smell, therefore the ointment also has this smell. The smell in this ointment is less pronounced due to the addition of Shea Butter though. After all, it is a natural product without chemical additives and fragrances. A natural scent belongs to it.

Most people get used to the smell. After a few minutes, the smell also disappears because the ointment penetrates deep into your skin. Neem also has a bitter taste. The botanical name of Neem is Azadirachta indica. These seeds are also often used in Ayurvedic medicine.

Use neem salve

Apply a thin layer of ointment to the skin or scalp daily. Depending on the condition of your skin, at least 2 times a day is recommended or as needed. Gently massage the ointment into the specific body parts or scalp for best results. Do not stop using the ointment when the conditions are lessened or healed, it is appropriate to continue applying it for some time to ensure proper maintenance of the skin and scalp.

Neem ointment always keep cool & dry. Especially in summer temperatures. Feel free to store the alve in your refrigerator. That way you protect this product optimally.
