Organic buckwheat flour contains an essential protein: lysine. This protein is mainly found in the membranes of buckwheat grains. By coarsely sifting this flour, small pieces of this membrane remain in the flour. This is why it is called 'dark'.

Delicious in pancakes, poffertjes and waffles. Replace 10% of the traditional flour in bread or cakes with buckwheat flour for more flavour. Dark buckwheat flour is the main ingredient in delicious Japanese pasta: soba noodles.
