Our white hazelnuts are deskinned and have a mild, sweet taste. By lightly roasting hazelnuts, we can easily remove the brown skin. This skin naturally has a somewhat bitter taste. For this reason, white hazelnuts have a milder taste than brown hazelnuts.
Since we only slightly roast our hazelnuts, they preserve a lot of natural healthy nutrients. Hazelnuts contain a very high amount of vitamin E in comparison to other nuts. They contain over 10 times as much vitamin E as walnuts and cashews.
Our white hazelnuts are perfect as a healthy snack. You can mix them with other nuts, muesli or granola. You can use white, skinned hazelnuts directly in desserts, biscuits or pastry. The flavour combination of chocolate and hazelnuts is sublime. You can also add hazelnuts to savoury dishes. Sprinkle ground hazelnuts on salads or crustaceans. In Turkey, they season fish and seafood with a sauce of garlic and hazelnuts.
