Black cumin seeds impart a special, nutty flavor and aroma to dishes slightly similar to roasted cumin seeds. They are mainly used in Pakistan, northern India (Kashmir) and other Persian regions.
Unroasted, the seeds have a somewhat musty smell. Therefore, simmer or fry them from the beginning to release the typical aroma and flavor.
Add black cumin seeds to dishes or bread dough early during the cooking process. Grinding is not necessary.
Pure black cumin seeds, no additives.
