The Banasura Highland pepper is a very large, aromatic pepper. The pepper has matured longer than other types of peppers and has therefore been able to fully develop. Banasura pepper is mild and has a warm, complex flavor with fruity and bitter notes.
The harvest of Banasura pepper often starts only at the end of March, a few weeks after the harvest of other pepper varieties. The pepper berries are handpicked by locals and dried in the sun. Handpicking the pepper berries in the high pepper bushes is a time-consuming task. The harvest is therefore limited. Banasura pepper is therefore a real exclusivity.
Banasura Highland pepper is delicious with red meat, steak and burgers, in ragout and pasta or dark sauces.
